Sublimation

Sublimated jerseys in Calgary

Full-colour team jerseys with the design dyed into the fabric, so it does not crack or peel after a season of washes, and each player's name and number set from your roster. Design yours in our 3D jersey designer, and our shop in northeast Calgary takes it from there. The full sublimation process is completed in house, allowing us to offer quicker turnaround times than typical competitors.

Why CanCorp

Four reasons teams order sublimated kit from us

This is a working team apparel shop, and your kit is checked with you, then made by the same people you speak to.

See it before you order it

Our 3D jersey designer lets you choose the sport, the colours and the logo placement, add player details, and turn the jersey around on screen before you send it to us.

When you are ready, you send the design for a quote. Nothing is ordered or charged at that point, and we confirm garment options, sizing, colours and final artwork with you before production.

A design that lasts the season

Sublimation turns the ink into a gas that bonds with the polyester fibres, so the design becomes part of the fabric rather than a layer sitting on top of it.

That is why sublimated jerseys stay soft and breathable and do not crack or peel, even after a season of games, practices and washing.

One shop for the whole kit

Teams need more than jerseys. Warmups, hoodies, coaches' jackets and bags can be embroidered or printed in the same workroom, so the sideline matches the bench.

That means one order, one contact and one pickup, rather than three suppliers who each match your colours slightly differently. Our teamwear page has the full range.

Plain advice on fabric

Sublimation only works on white or light polyester. It will not work on cotton or on dark garments, and a good shop tells you that before you order.

If your design needs cotton or a dark shirt, we will point you to DTF or screen printing instead, which we also run in house.

How it runs

How a sublimated jersey is made

Knowing how the process works tells you what it does well, and where another method is the better choice.

Design and roster

Your design is laid out for every panel of the jersey, and the names and numbers come straight from your roster, so every piece in the order is individual.

  • Full-panel design
  • Names and numbers
  • Roster per player

Print and press

The design is printed with sublimation ink and heat-pressed into the polyester, where the ink turns to a gas and bonds with the fibres.

  • Dye in the fibre
  • Soft and breathable
  • No cracking or peeling

Colours and detail

Because each panel is printed as a single full-colour image, gradients, photographs, patterns and sponsor logos all go on together.

  • Gradients and patterns
  • Sponsor logos
  • Edge to edge

Fabric limits

Sublimation needs white or light polyester, and the lighter the fabric, the truer the colours. Cotton and dark garments are a job for another method.

  • White or light polyester
  • Not for cotton
  • DTF for dark garments

How it works

Four steps from brief to delivery

Tell us the team

Start with the sport, the colours and the roster size, or send the design you built in our jersey designer. A sketch or a photo of last season's jersey is enough to price the work.

Pick the jersey

Choose the style, cut and collar in our jersey designer or with us, and we confirm the fabric and sizing with your quote.

Approve the artwork

Before anything goes onto a machine we confirm the placement, the size and the colours with you, and nothing runs until you have said yes to what you are looking at.

We produce it

The work is made at Bay 1 on 35 Avenue NE, so you can collect it here in Calgary once it is finished, or we will ship it out to you.

Questions

Sublimation questions we get asked in Calgary

How much does a custom sublimated jersey cost?

Jersey pricing depends on the sport and the jersey style, the fabric, and how many players are on the roster.

Send us the sport, the design and the roster size through the form, or build the jersey in our designer, and you will get real numbers back rather than a range.

Which is better, DTF or sublimation?

They suit different garments. Sublimation dyes the design into white or light polyester, so it is the right choice for performance jerseys and full-colour designs that cover the whole garment.

DTF applies a printed film to the surface and works on cotton, blends and dark garments, which makes it better for t-shirts, hoodies and fan wear. We run both, so we can recommend the right one for each piece.

Can you sublimate cotton or dark shirts?

No. Sublimation only bonds with polyester, and the colours only show on white or light fabric. For cotton or dark garments we use DTF or screen printing instead.

Can every player have their own name and number?

Yes. Each jersey is made from your roster, so every player gets their own name and number. Send the roster with your quote request, or add it in the jersey designer.

Do you design the jersey for us?

Yes, if you would like us to. You can start in our 3D jersey designer, send us a sketch or an old jersey, or just tell us your colours and logo. We confirm the final artwork with you before anything is printed.

Can we add players during the season?

Tell us in the message if you expect to add players. We will confirm how extra jerseys from the same design are ordered and priced, so new players can match the rest of the team.

How long do sublimated jerseys take?

The schedule depends on the size of the order and how quickly the design is approved. Put your first game or tournament date in the message and we will tell you straight away whether it is workable.

How do I wash a sublimated jersey?

Follow the garment’s care label for washing. Hanging to dry can help extend the life of your apparel.

Where are you, and can I come in?

We are at Bay 1, 2320 35 Avenue NE in Calgary, and you are welcome to come in to talk about your order and to pick the kit up. Call 403-536-0759 before you come so that the right person is on the floor when you arrive.
